It stars Steve Carell, Ryan Gosling, Julianne Moore, Emma Stone, Marisa Tomei, and Kevin Bacon. It was released in the United States and Canada by Warner Bros. Pictures on July 29, 2011.
The film received favorable reviews and was commercially successful, grossing over $142 million. Gosling received a Golden Globe nomination for his role.
